Red Velvet Crickles

Super easy FUDGY red velvet crinkles

Ingredients
  

  • 115 g butter room temperature
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp red food coloring it may vary depending on quality

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt)
  2. In another bowl, whisk together softened butter, brown sugar, and caster sugar till combined. Add eggs, one at a time, vanilla, and food coloring and whisk until homogeneous.
  3. Add dry ingredients and mix till all combined.
  4. Put in fridge for at least 4 hours.
  5. Preheat oven 180c
  6. Scoop little balls from the dough, coat with caster sugar, then powder sugar.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes. Let it cool before serving.
